WELCOME TO IDESERVE
Who we are
iDeserve Advocacy for Autism is a Houston-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit. We advocate for autistic people and people with other developmental disabilities, and their families, so they have equitable access to the resources, opportunities and support they need to succeed. We believe every person, at every age, deserves to be heard, supported and included.
OUR STORY
Our story is personal. iDeserve was started by a Houston family that lives with autism and neurodivergence every day. That journey, with its challenges and its triumphs, shapes everything we do. iDeserve exists so every autistic person and every family has an advocate, a clear path to resources, and a community where they belong.
iDeserve is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit, run by volunteers. We do not provide therapy or other clinical services, and we never steer families to a particular provider: every family we help chooses its own. Our job is to stand beside families, help them find what they need, and make sure they are heard.
Five commitments guide everything we do:
Advocacy
Standing with families so autistic people are heard at school, in healthcare and in the community.
Access
Clear paths to services, benefits and resources. Families always choose their own providers.
Community
Parent networks and family events where every family belongs and every child is welcome.
Opportunity
Building toward what's next, including a planned tuition-free Montessori school and pathways to work.
Transparency
We hold Candid's 2026 Platinum Seal of Transparency, its highest level.
Our vision is a community where autistic people and people with other developmental disabilities are heard, their rights are respected and their contributions are valued, and where every family has the support it needs to thrive.
